Trunk...

When I repainted the trunk, I've applied a sound deadening coating, which lifted the paint. I have removed everything loose and repainted the trunk.

Self-etching primer...

... and paint.

This time I will leave the paint the way it is, which is good anyway to monitor any rust developing.

Choke cable, rims, boots...

The housing of the choke cable was broken, which made the choke unable to return to the open position.

I've used a plastic hose that I use for some hydraulic returns.

Used some Crazy Glue to secure it.

I've remove the little ball to oil the cable.

I just can't get tired of this dashboard.

I removed the front wheels to change the tires and paint the rims; I saw they were clamps holding the boots as well as weights on the shaft (Only on one side though).

I have removed the weights and replaced the clamps with Ligarex on both sides.

I've changed the left rear suspension boot a month or 2 ago but the right hand one failed.

Now both sides are done

This stuff is great! I've deflated the tires, slip this masking tool under the rim and painted. This makes life easy and the result is great.

Moldings...

I have replaced the old/rusty/lost hardware with some new 3 (.5) mm screws and nuts (The old hardware is .6 thread).

I've put some sealer (3M) on each screw to protect the holes against rust.

Done.

The sealer keeps the molding from touching the paint which will prevent the water from stagnating there. The space is so small that it is not obvious to the eye.

Different approach to the small moldings; still using sealer though.

Now I can put the panel back on.

Arrived at Final Finish in Branford, CT where Ken will prep the car for painting. I'll be helping in sanding, masking, etc...

The fenders were badly folded at the rear. I've straighten them up, now it's time for Ken to do the plastic.

Fenders are primed.

I've sanded the entire car with a pneumatic orbital sander set at low speed.
